Get Ready to Help the Planet at Earth Day!

Earth Day 2023 will be celebrated at the Bowen Art Center on April 22 from 10 am to 2 pm. It is brought to you by the North Georgia Conservation Coalition and it is free to everyone! There will be an electric vehicle car show, arts and crafts for our young people, an essay contest, door prizes, tables with free information and take home gifts, demonstrations, videos, panel discussion, and speakers who will help you to learn about how vital the health of our planet is to our survival. You can stay for lunch on the patio!

Our Earth is changing. The population has grown to 8.5 Billion inhabitants. All these people need food and water, safe places to live, and clean air to breathe. But because of the increasing temperature of the Earth, many of these necessities will be harder to find for many of those billions of people.

As we approach Earth Day 2023, it is crucial that we reflect on the actions we can take to invest in the planet and protect it for future generations. Our planet is facing numerous environmental challenges, from climate change to plastic pollution, and it is up to us to make a positive impact.

Investing in the planet means investing in clean energy sources, reducing waste and consumption, and promoting sustainable practices. We can start by making small changes in our daily lives, such as conserving energy, reducing water usage, and reducing the amount of single-use plastics we use. We can also support companies and organizations that prioritize environmentally friendly practices and advocate for policies that protect the planet.

It is also essential that we educate ourselves and others about the importance of protecting the environment. We must raise awareness about the challenges our planet faces and inspire people to take action. This Earth Day, let us all come together to invest in the planet and make a positive impact for the future.
